Career Programs
School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) Career & Trades Program along with our 'Partners in Education' strive to continually provide all our students 'Real and Relevant' career awareness opportunities.
Career education programs provide secondary school students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and experience to further their education and employment opportunities. Additionally, the programs provide experiential learning opportunities for elementary students in a variety of subject areas all which relate back to a career or trade.
Many of the district’s career programs are in partnership with a variety of community corporate partners as well as the College of New Caledonia (CNC) and University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). The partnership program provides students with opportunities to receive industry certification or post-secondary course credits in addition to meeting the requirements for high school graduation.
