Dual Credit

Dual-credit programming offers students the opportunity to get both high school and trades/college/university credits either through onsite or with online learning. Created through partnerships between school districts and post-secondary institutions, these dual-credit programs are designed for students who wish to earn credits towards both graduation and a Level 1 Apprenticeship, college certificate program (eg. Early Childhood Education), or first-year academic degree (eg. Criminology).

Benefits of dual-credit programs:

  • Save money: Your tuition is covered by your school
  • Earn credits for high school and post-secondary at once
  • Build confidence in your life after graduation
  • Start college with a lighter course load, and transfer credits to CNC, UNBC, and other post-secondary institutions
  • Start apprenticeship or explore which trade is right for you

Key Details

  • Applicable to grade 10 - 12 students from across SD91
